Volunteers are an essential part of Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Whether Fundraising, Retail or in the hospice itself, volunteers are a part of everything that we do.
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and be part of a dedicated team, ensuring that the hospice continues to provide the best level of care to patients and their families.
Update 16.11.2020 - We are committed to welcoming volunteers where we are able to safely across Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw. However, due to current COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to welcome as many volunteers as we would like, both existing and new, back to the hospice. Therefore, we are currently only accepting volunteer applications for roles advertised on our website. Please click here to view current Volunteer Vacancies.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.
Update 15.09.2020 - We have taken the decision to temporarily suspend Student Placements, Works Experience and the Young Volunteer Programme at Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. We really enjoy welcoming local students from the three programmes, but due to the current restrictions we will be unable to offer students our usual standard of placement whilst at the hospice.
We want to ensure that any students attending work placement receive the best possible experience for both themselves and the hospice, which is why we have made this decision. We will be reviewing our decision in January 2021 and will provide an update then.
