Will you rise to the challenge?
With the Great British Bake Off back on TV and mouth-watering creations being made every week, we want you to get into the kitchen to support our vital care.
But we know that sweet treats are not for everyone, so we are encouraging people, families, friends and work colleagues to get into the kitchen and rustle up some tasty treats for a food filled day of fundraising.
If you not the next Mary Berry, James Martin or Jamie Oliver in the kitchen then don’t worry. You could always ask for donations for you not too bake something or you could make a donation and ask somebody to do the fundraising for you.
Will you bake us proud?
The foodie fundraising possibilities really are endless and everybody can join in. Plus, all of our ideas can work with the current social distancing measures in your area. Here are just some of the ways you can raise dough for your local hospice.
- Cake sale at work, on your street or in the local community
- An Afternoon Tea with your family and friends
- A Zoom cooking or baking masterclass
- Share a special recipe and ask people to make a donation in return
- Make yourself a batch of cakes and make a donation to the hospice
If you are looking for some quick and easy recipes to help with your fundraising, here some of our favourites which we have shared with our Jigsaw Families and Day Hospice patients in recent months.
Help raise dough for your local hospice!
Taking part couldn’t be any easier. Simply choose our mouth-watering fundraising idea, choose a date and start fundraising. The hospice can provide you with collection boxes, t-shirts and blank posters (click here) to help your fundraising. Alternatively, you can set up an online fundraising page on JustGiving, VirginMoneyGiving or a Facebook Fundraisers Page.
Once you have completed your delicious fundraising you can send in your sponsorship money to the hospice (address here). We would love to see the beautiful cakes, pies and meals which you have created so please send your pictures to firstname.lastname@example.org
At a time when the hospice is still in great knead of funding to secure our future, every cake your bake and every pound you raise will help our vital care today, tomorrow and for many years to come.
