Salary: £25,920 per annum.

Location: Carlisle

Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw are a local charity dedicated to providing the best standard of care to adults and children with life-limiting illness, along with their families, friends and carers.

This is an exciting time for the Hospice, as we look towards our future in what is our 30th year of providing care to our local community. A key part of this is growth is the appointment of a new relationship fundraiser to join as a valued member of our fundraising team. The right individual will be engaging and warm, proactive and enthusiastic and be a leader in the successful stewardship of our highly valued supporters.

Working across all fundraising income streams you will be flexible in your approach to communication with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will offer vital day to day support as part of the team, working with the Fundraising Manager and wider Marketing and Income Generation team towards the shared goals of excellent communication, data management and engagement with the local community.

We are seeking a creative, engaging and committed person who will:

  • Build effective relationships with supporters by understanding their motivations, ensuring donor retention and developing stewardship.
  • Ensure our donors feel understand their impact, and that they feel valued in their support to increase retention and support.

This role would suit a professional from a customer service, sales or business development background as well as someone with previous experience in Fundraising.

We are proud to have been at the heart of our local community for the past 30 years, but as we must source 75% of the £4.2 million it costs to run Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, our donors and fundraisers are central to our ability to be able to uphold this level of care. It will be the challenge and reward of this role, to continue to engage, nurture, and support our local community in its attempt to do the same for the Hospice and its patients.
